a little bit about Tess....
My Name is Tess Hurlburt! I am a designer, illustrator, and set decorator based out of LA. I have a background in fine art, interior design, fabrication and construction and have worked on productions at MAX, Netflix, Marvel, and Apple.
I absolutely love the use of visuals and textures as a tool in storytelling. To me, the beauty of production design is that it allows us to give viewers unique insight into the experiences of a character; hints and clues about their motivations and desires. With every project I work on, my goal is to leave our audiences feeling like they know what it's like to exist in the same space as our characters. Audiences should relate to the space we have created; empathizing with the textures, sights and sounds we curated for them. I really am so excited and proud to do this work and I cannot wait for the next collaboration!
